Shahnilla Jamal, Henry G. Bramwell, Jr. and Joanne Quinn-Beers, DSW, L-CSW were welcomed recently to the Board of the Middle Country Library Foundation.
Ms. Jamal is Senior Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager in Long Island Commercial Banking for HSBC Bank. Shahnilla volunteers with several nonprofit organizations, most recently Girls Inc., American Heart Association, Habitat for Humanity, and Manavi. Additionally, she serves on the Stony Brook Alumni Association Board of Directors. Shahnilla has been involved for many years with the Middle Country Public Library, volunteering with the Women’s EXPO, participating in programs through the Miller Business Center and bringing her three daughters to the Library, where she nurtured their love of books and reading.
Mr. Bramwell, a lifelong Long Islander, is founder and president of Visionary, a full-service marketing communications firm specializing in website development and digital advertising for clients ranging from international Fortune 500 firms to small businesses. Henry is President of the Brookhaven Business Advisory Council and is a sought-after speaker and business mentor. He has taught seminars for the Miller Business Center at Middle Country Public Library, Stony Brook Small Business Development Center and HIA-LI.
Dr. Quinn-Beers is Clinical Assistant Professor at Adelphi University School of Social Work, where she teaches courses on social welfare policy, human behavior and direct practice at both the Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree levels. Previously, Joanne was a social worker in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Stony Brook University Hospital. Joanne grew up in the Middle Country School District and is a graduate of Centereach High School.
