The MCL Foundation embraces collaborative, innovative, and replicable initiatives that benefit Middle Country residents, the residents of the Long Island region, and public libraries nationally. By 2010, the Foundation envisions America’s community libraries will be more responsive to demographic shifts and evolving social, economic and information needs.

Values Statement

The MCL Foundation values public libraries as primary resources for individual members of society to realize literacy, knowledge, and access to information. To fulfill its mission and vision, the MCL Foundation values the power of innovation and creativity; the necessity of financial integrity; the imperative to respect and prize diversity in all its forms.
