
Neela Mukherjee Lockel is president and chief executive officer of EAC Network, one of New York’s most dynamic and far-reaching nonprofit organizations, where she leads more than 110 programs that support approximately 80,000 New Yorkers annually. A lifelong advocate for equity and second chances, Lockel is focused on expanding access to critical services for children and families, people impacted by the criminal justice system, older adults and those in need of behavioral health support or workforce training. She brings a steady commitment to community-driven work, aligning strategy with compassion to meet evolving needs. Under her guidance, EAC Network stands as a powerful force for change, offering vital support and second chances to those too often overlooked.
With more than 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Lockel’s expertise spans a wide range of disciplines including direct services, program development, emergency response, advocacy, administration and leadership. Before joining EAC Network in 2021, she served as CEO of the American Red Cross on Long Island, beginning in 2016. Prior to the Red Cross, she held positions as founding executive director of Girls Inc. of Long Island, adjunct professor at Stony Brook University and director of the office of continuing education for the Adelphi University School of Social Work.
