Middle Country Public Library offers welcoming spaces and programs for teenagers from 6th grade through 12th grade to foster connections and encourage healthy teen development. At the Centereach building, Club 5-6-7, for young teens in 5th through 8th grade, and the Underground, for teens in 8th through 12th grade, are specially designed areas that offer books, computers, programming, comfortable seating and gaming. The Underground Media Studio is an interactive area for teens to create art, movies and music. The Teen Resource Center at the Selden building is a space with books, magazines and gaming dedicated for teens in 6th-12th grade. The library offers a full range of activities in these spaces including arts and crafts, music, cooking, gaming, and community service opportunities.
